Workouts Dedicated to Heroes

These workouts mean something different to everyone…

If you’re not familiar with Crossfit, every year on Memorial Day, crossfit gyms will do a workout named after LT Michael Murphy who died in combat. They call these workout “dedications”, Hero WODs. (WOD = workout of the day)

Last year I had my kiddos to myself so I had to plan my workout around naps and the like. (Hint: Don’t do this workout in the Memphis heat at 1pm.)

Crossfit has its ups and downs, but I do love that it shows so much respect to those who have paid the ultimate sacrifice for our country. I think the least I can do is do a really tough workout once a year to dedicate time to to remember them.

I don’t even own this and I love it…

I’ve written a bit about this ferrari of a machine before…but this is too tempting not to share. The reviews on this super fast machine are all over the internet. I’m looking for any and all excuses to get one for myself.

Buy it here. Or just click on the link and drool over it and buy something else during Black Friday deals.

Happy Thanksgiving

Tomorrow is officially Thanksgiving.

I hope that you get to spend some time with friends or family.

Make sure you ignore your email and silence your work phone since time off is good for your brain.

Last, I want you to know I am thankful for you. I try to make your time on this website valuable and I appreciate each like, comment, share, and more.

God bless.

Then you come to Cook’s epiphany, which he said came too late in life, in his upper 30’s. He shared it in one compelling sentence.

“And at some point, you recognize the reason we are all here is to help somebody else –that is the sole reason we are here.”

Cook went on later to add, “You’re here in service of other people, it’s not about you.”

Not going to lie, always thought Tim Cook seemed like a good dude.

Well, we certainly can’t say we weren’t warned. After all, Tesla CEO Elon Musk has hinted for months that his new pickup truck will look like nothing we’d seen before, from this brand or any other.

That’s for sure.

FlightNetwork is a Canadian travel website that set out to make a comprehensive list of the world’s 50 most beautiful cities, ranked by travel bloggers, writers and agencies. Of course the aforementioned cities made the list. But in the interest of fairness, we’ve picked out the most unusual and less-acclaimed cities that deserve their own space in the spotlight.

Next time I get to vacation over in Europe, I’m putting a few of these on the list.

These are the most beautiful cities in the world, according to travel pros

Now, having entered the fifth decade of my life, I can say with confidence that the titles below have significantly changed the way I think, act, lead and perceive the world around me. I currently run an executive coaching company, but had I been able to absorb the knowledge from those books much earlier in my career, I’d be even more successful today.

As a CEO and leadership coach, here are the 11 books — about leadership, success and professional growth — that I consider to be the best of the decade:

A 50-year-old CEO shares 11 books he wishes he read in his 30s: ‘I’d be even more successful today’

Photography is fun…

I love my Canon 80D. You can get them for a great deal right now.

For vlogging the autofocus is practically flawless and the flip out screen makes so many things easy. But I would love to get my hands on the Canon 90D…it’s basically the 80D…but WAY better.
