If you’re not familiar with Crossfit, every year on Memorial Day, crossfit gyms will do a workout named after LT Michael Murphy who died in combat. They call these workout “dedications”, Hero WODs. (WOD = workout of the day)
Last year I had my kiddos to myself so I had to plan my workout around naps and the like. (Hint: Don’t do this workout in the Memphis heat at 1pm.)
Crossfit has its ups and downs, but I do love that it shows so much respect to those who have paid the ultimate sacrifice for our country. I think the least I can do is do a really tough workout once a year to dedicate time to to remember them.
