I owned the first version of the Bose SoundLink Mini for almost a decade before it finally gave out.
Think about that.
For almost 10 years I had this little speaker in various offices of mine across the country, playing podcasts, ambient music, the most recent album I found on iTunes. People tend to buy new TVs more often than that!
Bose is known for its quality and you normally pay a premium for their high quality products that produce higher quality sound.
However, if you want a great bluetooth speaker that you can move around the house or just keep in your office like I do…look no further.
Such a cool take on a show that “discovers” talent…
I stumbled across this via social media the other day and was fascinated at this show’s take on a kind of behind the scenes take on how songs are written, produced, and evolve.
I actually watched the video twice because I could swear that I recognized the song…and low and behold…I did! This song that started off as “I’ll Drink to That” had been picked up by Lady Antebellum and is now the hit song, “Champagne Night”.
Here is what it eventually became.
Pretty neat to see how these things work with song writers and performers.
I’d rather be a hypocrite than the same person forever.
Ad-Rock (Beastie Boys)
This was Ad-Rock’s response to a critic calling him a hypocrite regarding some of their early un-pc songs (like ‘Girls’), because Ad-Rock and the others have since said they see how childish their songs were and no longer agree with some of their lyrics.
Very good movie/documentary of this influential band.
